HHS crowns royalty for 2010

Hayley Pankratz gets a squeeze from Dylan Delk after they were announced as the Hillsboro High School homecoming queen and king for 2010. The crowning ceremony occurred Friday prior to the football game with Sterling. The other candidates for queen were Becky Faber, Bethany Hawkinson, Hayley Jirak and Sarah Hill. The other candidates for king were Jarrod Hamm, Chance Reece, Daniel Kenny and Ben Bebermeyer. Serving as junior attendents were Carson Linnens (visible in photo), second-grade son of Kelly and Julie Linnens, and Reece Hefley, first-grade daughter of Ryan and Tracy Hefley. USD 410 students gathered at Joel H. Wiens Stadium Friday afternoon for the annual pep rally. The location was changed from downtown Hillsboro because of preparations for the Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday.
