HHS Chess Guild members attend camp

Hillsboro High School Chess Guild member Michael Christian attended the Karpov School of Chess Summer Camp in Lindsborg in July, bringing home two awards. Christian placed second in the Blitz competition and third in the Kansas Scholastic Open Reserve division. Michael and fellow team member Matt Richert attended the summer camp together and both are eager to return next summer. Their participation in the camp was made possible with scholarship funding through the Hillsboro Community Foundation.
