HHS Chess Guild 2nd at tournament

The Hillsboro High School Chess Guild team placed second in the high school division at the Canton-Galva K-12 chess tournament Saturday, Oct. 27. Team members included (from left) Dakota Peterson, Ben Bosworth, Matt Richert, Josh Elliott, Allister Young, James Letterman and Justin King. The Chess Guild will host its first KSCA chess tournament Saturday, Dec. 8 in the middle school gym. The tournament is open to all K-12 students and costs $5.
