HHS bands win trophies at Branson

The Hillsboro High School bands were awarded three trophies at a regional competition in Branson, Mo., this past weekend.

The HHS concert band received an ?Excellent Rating? trophy, the jazz band received both a ?Superior Rating? trophy and a trophy for ?Best in Class.?

Four individuals received awards as the outstanding performer on their particular instrument: Kelsey Unruh, alto saxophone; Lora Andrews tenor saxophone; Joe Fisher, upright bass; and Mitchell Koop, drum set.

The band program at Hillsboro High is directed by Gregg Walker.
