Sara (Hamm) Goldsby, a 2005 graduate of Hills?boro High School, was one of two Salina public school teachers to receive a 2013 Horizon Award earlier this year. Pictured with USD 305 Superintendent William D. Hall, Goldsby is a third-grade teacher at Heusner Elementary. The Kan?sas Department of Education created the Horizon Award to recognize outstanding first-year teachers in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state.
