Mike Moran, counselor at Hillsboro Elementary School, led an assembly on ?Character Education? Nov. 21 in the cafeteria. It was the first assembly of its kind and featured six pillars of good character ? trustworthy, respect, responsible, fairness, caring and citizenship. Principal Evan Yoder and five teachers each held one of the pillars and at the end of the assembly demonstrated how those pillars ?carrying? good character by lifting fellow teacher Lenna Knoll into the air.
