FireHouseDanger0382.jpg Connor Morey (foreground) and Wesley Shaw, both third grade students at Hillsboro Elementary School, point to one of many serious fire hazards in simulated rooms of the Hutchinson Community College?s Blue Dragon Fire Safety House Monday. The mobile unit, parked at the school, was used in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week to help kindergarten through fifth-grade students understand the dangers of fire, said Hillsboro Fire Chief Ben Steketee. Craig Smith, an instructor at Hutchinson, said the college bought the $60,000 mobile unit using grant money from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
