HEScharacterPB140001.jpg Mike Moran, counselor at Hillsboro Elementary School, sponsored an assembly on ?Character Education,? Friday in the cafeteria. It was the first assembly of its kind and featured six pillars of good character?trustworthy, respect, responsible, fairness, caring and citizenship. The principal and five other teachers, held one of the pillars and at the end of the assembly demonstrated how when a person has all the right traits (each pillar) they are ?carrying? good character. Left to right are: Maura Wiebe, Evan Yoder, principal, Deb Dick, Julie Linnens, Rod Just, and Doug Dick. Symbolizing overall character was Lenna Knoll, (not pictured) who was later held up by the others.
