HES kids raise $3,000+ for AHA

Karlee Ghahremanzadeh, a fifth-grade student at Hillsboro Elementary School, was one of about 75 children from first through fifth grade jumping rope for the American Heart Association Thursday, Feb. 18. ?Jump Rope for Heart? involves young people raising money for the AHA, which is used to pay for new medicines and treatments to be discovered. ?So far,? said Doug Dick, program coordinator at HES, ?the students have raised more than $3,000.? Dick said this year?s event raised more money than last year.
