Goessel High School will perform Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10, in the Goessel High School Auditorium. This timeless classic that pleases adults and children alike features moments of romance and adventure, dazzling chorus numbers, and costuming that awakens the imagination. Principal cast members are Bea Gaeddert as Belle; Chris Strecker as the Beast; Kale Funk as Gaston; David Sawyer as Lefou; Kendall Hiebert as Maurice; Edel Miller as Lumiere; Eddie Gaeddert as Cogsworth; Julianna Schrag as Mrs. Potts; Kaleigh Guhr as Chi; Elyse Boden as Babette; Liz Alderfer as Madame de la Grande Bouche; and Dominic Engelstad as Monsieur D’Arque. The 70-member Goessel High School Choir will act as townspeople and enchanted castle objects.
The production is directed by Braden Unruh and accompanied by Marcia Brubaker and Alyssa Burkholder. Audio/visual technicians are Ryan Goertzen-Regier and Heath Goertzen.
Tickets are $5.00 for all ages and will be available in advance at the high school office or at the door each night of the show.
The Goessel High junior class parents invite everyone to ‘be our guest’ for a Mexican meal prior to the show at 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 in the high school commons. The suggested donation of $6 per person will benefit the 2019 After Prom Party.
