GHS students fare well at HOA art event

Goessel High School art students did well at the Heart of America League Art Festival last Wednesday, earning eight ribbons, including two blues, and sweeping the entire graphic design category.

Winning blue ribbons were Brittney Czarnowsky in black & white photography and Aidan Winblad in graphic design.

Winning red was Raney Schroeder in graphic design.

Winning white was Jake Smucker in manipulated photography and Evan Hiebert in graphic design.

Winning Merit Awards were Laird Goertzen in printmaking, Andrew DeFreese in graphic design and Jeff Hall in acrylic painting.

The artwork will be displayed in the school?s Emil Kym Art Gallery through April 19.
