GCF awards scholarship to two GHS seniors

Cindy Wiens & Aleena CookCindy Wiens (left in both photo), Goessel Community Foundation board member, presented two Goessel High School seniors scholarships at the school’s Spring Awards Program, May 11. Aleena Cook was awarded the $500 Karen Rae McIntosh Teaching Scholar­ship, which is designated for graduates pursuing a degree in education. Cook will pursue a major in physical education at Hesston College.

Rebekah Herrel received the $898 Joyful Noise Community Child Care Scholarship, established to provide financial assistance to a current graduate who plans to further their education at a private or public college or university. Herrel will attend Mid America Nazarene University in fall and major in criminal justice and psychology.
