Farm Service Agency has issued 2009 Average Crop Revenue Election payments to producers enrolled in the ACRE program for wheat, oats and barley in Kansas.
?These payments are an important part of the farm safety net because they help protect the farmers who provide America and the world with a reliable stream of food and commodities by buffering them from the effects of revenue declines,? said Adrian J. Polansky, state executive director of FSA.
Kansas issued 451 payments for $301,205 to producers enrolled in ACRE. The per acre payment rates for Kansas are wheat $7.56, oats $17.79 and barley $8.78. A total of 28 enrolled Marion County ACRE farms qualified for payment.
