Hillsboro Ford Mercury and Ford Motor Co. sponsored a $1,000 FFA scholarship and Andy Klassen, a 2009 graduate of Hillsboro High School was this year?s recipient.
Klassen said he plans to study agricultural engineering at Kansas State University in Manhattan.
The Built Ford Tough Trucks FFA Scholarship Program is designed to recognize FFA members? talents and accomplishments while encouraging their future academic achievements, Stagg said.
The scholarship is one of 452 awarded this year by Ford Division, Ford Motor Co. Fund and Hillsboro Ford Mercury to FFA members who are high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall, as well as current collegiate students.
Andy Klassen is the son of Dale and Kay Klassen of Hillsboro. Sonya Roberts is Klassen?s FFA advisor at HHS.
