Officers of the Hillsboro High School FFA chapter organized a petting zoo last Wednesday for first-graders and Head Start students at Hillsboro Elementary School. ?I challenged them to do something for National FFA Week that we?ve never done before,? said adviser Sonya Roberts. ?They came up wih a petting zoo.? The FFA officers brought young animals from their farms. Participating were Aaron Klassen (dairy calves), Bryce Roberts (lambs), Kale Arnold (goats), Nathan Unruh (chickens), Lauren Geis (miniature horse) and FFA alum Ethan Frantz (two piglets). Seth Bartel and Ethan Oborny brought a tractor for the students to explore.
