FCCLA chapter meets for awards luncheon

The Hillsboro High School chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America hosted its annual awards luncheon and installation of officers April 30 in the Family and Consumer Science room.

The retiring officers were Vik Bichet, president and vice presidents of Step One and STAR events; Ashlyn Simmons, vice-president of membership and of public relations; April Young, secretary; Zach Carey, treasurer; and Allister Young, Student Council representative.

Officers for next year are: Simmons, president; Ashley Brandt, vice president of membership; Carey, vice president of public relations; Emily Hoskinson, treasurer; Rachel Mackenzie, secretary; and Allister Young, Student Council representative and vice president of Step One and STAR events.

Kathleen Peterson and Skye Young will continue as chapter parents.
