Fast accepts new position at TC

After serving as Tabor College Development director for two and a half years, Marlene Fast of Hillsboro accepted the position of Alumni and Parent Relations director July 1.

Fast will work on strengthening the network of Tabor College alumni and parents of current students.

Jim Elliott, vice president of advancement, said Fast brings enthusiasm and passion to the office and is effective in helping Tabor alumni and parents feel connected to the Hillsboro campus.

Fast, in switching roles, said she felt led to do so.

?I have loved being the director of development, but have felt God?s calling?to move to the director of Alumni and Parent Relations.

?It is my joy,? she said, ?to serve Tabor College at parent and alumni gatherings, Homecoming and other activities.?

A former Tabor College student, Fast holds degrees in music education and contemporary Christian Ministries.

Fast reminds alumni that the 2010 Homecoming celebration ?Hail, Hail the Gang?s?All Here??will be held Oct. 15-17.

Class reunions, department reunions, Golden Brunch (50 years and older) and more?are being planned.
