Events will raise funds for FCCLA projects

The public can enjoy good food and support the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America program at Hillsboro High School by participating in two events this coming week.

The student organization is sponsoring a ?Mexican Dinner Night? from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in the high school commons. HHS is hosting Nickerson in basketball games that evening.

Patrons can choose between a two-enchilada meal for $6 and a one-enchilada meal for $4. The meals include rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, picante sauce and a Valentine dessert.

On the following Monday, Feb. 15, Wendy?s restaurant in Hillsboro will donate 20 percent of all sales between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to the FCCLA organization.

Patrons can enjoy a dessert later that evening when Spririt-N-Celebration presents its annual Valentine?s concert at 7 p.m.
