Meghann Eblen, a junior piano pedagogy and biblical and religious studies major from Leavenworth, will present her junior piano recital at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, in the Tabor College Chapel-Auditorium.
Eblen, who will perform works by Bach, Haydn, Schubert and Mompou, is the student of Sheila Schmitt, associate professor of piano and piano pedagogy.
?The music I?m playing covers a wide range of styles and each piece offers a new technical or musical challenge,? Eblen said.
?One piece in particular I heard during a class last year and fell in love with the melody line, so I knew I wanted to play it for my recital,
?The others I just chose in order to have a wide variety of music, but I love the melody lines or overall style of each of my pieces.?
After graduation, Eblen hopes to use her music ability in missions.
?I wanted to be a music major so I could learn all I could so I could use that in various ways to minister to others and to God.?
