Len Coryea (left), Hillsboro Middle School teacher and assistant track and field coach, has a last word with Terry Hagen, co-owner of Hillsboro Ford, before stepping into a new Ford 150 pickup during the Drive One 4UR School event Saturday in downtown Hillsboro. Sponsored by Hillsboro Ford and the Ford Motor Co., the event is a fundraiser for the Hillsboro Booster Club. For every test drive, Ford donates $20 toward the fund, which is used for equipment and other needs of Hillsboro High School athletic teams. According to Randy Hagen, Hillsboro Ford co-owner, a record 225 people test drove a vehicle, which should result in a check for $4,500. Adding this year?s results, the event has generated $18,470 for the Booster Club since the inaugural event in 2009. The event also included free hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and giveaways.
