Denholm named to All-Kansas Academic team honored through Phi Theta Kappa members

Matthew Denholm, 2016 graduate of Hillsboro High School named to All-State Academic Team. Matthew Denholm has been named to the All-Kansas Academic Team for 2018. He was honored during the 23rd annual luncheon Feb. 15 in Topeka.

Kansas is one of 38 states participating in the All-State Academic Team program.

The State Academic Teams were introduced in 1994 as a way to provide scholastic recognition to Phi Theta Kappa members, while promoting excellence at two-year colleges.

Denholm is a computer science/digital media major with a 4.0 grade-point average at Hutchin­son Commu­n­ity College, and has been an active member of Phi Theta Kappa, DragonLAN and HCC Chess Club.

He is an assistant chess club instructor, tutor, Honors Program member, and has been named to the President’s honor roll. He plans to transfer to Kansas State Polytechnic in Salina this fall.

Denholm, a 2016 graduate of Hillsboro High School, is the son of Robert and Sharon Denholm of Hills­boro.
