The National FFA Organiza?tion has awarded a $1,000 Fastline Publications scholarship to Justin Deines of Centre High School.
The scholarship is sponsored by Fastline Publications through the National FFA Foundation. Deines plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at Bethany College.
This scholarship is one of 1,645 awarded through the national scholarship program this year. Currently, 127 sponsors contribute more than $2.1 million to support scholarships for students.
The 2013 scholarship recipients were selected from 6,116 applicants from across the country. Selections were based on the applicant?s leadership, academic record, FFA and other school and community activities, supervised agricultural or work experience in agricultural education and future goals.
