Danielle Cope named Student of the Month at Cloud County

Danielle Cope, a 2007 Marion High School Graduate from Florence, has been chosen by faculty and staff at Cloud County Community College, Concordia, as the Rotary College Student of the Month.

Cope is a sophomore majoring in animal science. She will graduate from CCCC in May and plans to transfer to Kansas State University.

Cope is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Collegiate Farm Bureau and Phi Theta Kappa.

She was a national qualifier as both a freshman and sophomore for the Cloud women?s cross-country team. She was named an Academic All-American both years and was a Coach?s All-American, All-Conference and All-Region as a sophomore.

As a track team member, Cope placed sixth at nationals as part of the distance medley and seventh in the 4×800 relay as a freshman.

Cope is the daughter of Clint and Sarah Cope, Florence.
