Couple presents $2,500 donation for Centre FFA through Monsanto

Francis and Mary Jirak (front row, far right) present a check to Centre High School FFA member Grace Knepp as a $2,500 donation through the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund to support rural farming communities. The program, launched in 2010, gives farmers the chance to win a $2,500 donation for their favorite community nonprofit organization, such as 4-H, FFA, schools, fire departments and other civic groups. One winner is selected in each of 1,331 eligible counties in 41 states. The Centre FFA Chapter will use the funds to expand the number of FFA members who are able to attend the National FFA Convention & Expo by helping pay for hotel rooms for the chapter. Also pictured are: back row (from left) Jon Meyer, Payton Harms, Zach Barney, Jensen Riffel and Laura Klenda; Grace Peterson and Cailey Barney (from left) are standing with Grace Knepp.
