• Seth Topham, Peabody, was one of two 2017 Outstanding Student-Athlete Award winners at Southwestern College. Topham, son of Greg and Kim Topham, is a four-year member of men’s track and field program and a two-time NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete, a two-time KCAC individual champion, a two-time All-KCAC selection, and a 2016 NAIA National Championship qualifier in the 110 meter high hurdles. He was also the team’s recipient of the KCAC Track & Field Champions of Character medallion
• Two Marion County students are among the nearly 5,000 candidates for a degree from the University of Kansas this spring. Chelsey Domke, Durham, will receive a master of accounting degree, and Jeconiah Spangler, Florence, will be a doctor of pharmacy. KU’s annual commencement will be May 14.
