College Achievements (June 16, 2010)

? Four students in the Free Press distribution area were named to the spring-semester honor roll at Fort Hays State University in Hays.

They are: Candace K. Green, sophomore education major from Burns; Tobey Meghan Green, sophomore education major from Burns; Anthony D. Esau, freshman art major from Hillsboro; and Ben S. Leppke, junior computer networking major from Marion.

? Several area students made the Dean?s List and honor roll at Hesston College for the spring semester.

Those on the Dean?s List (grade-point average of 3.9 to 4.0 are freshmen Amy Brubaker of Goessel, freshman Craig Ratz?laff of Goessel and sophomore Carole Davies of Marion.

Named to the honor roll (3.50-3.89) were freshman Crystal Royer of Lehigh, sophomore Bobbi Jo Carlson of Hillsboro, and Nathan Ensz of Goessel.

? Daniel Wiebe of Hillsboro was among 719 students who participated in St. Olaf College?s 121st commencement ceremony May 30. He is the son of Carl and Marcella Wiebe.

? Laura Skiles of Hillsboro was among the 89 students to graduate from Manhattan Christian College on May 8. She received a bachelor of science degree in management and ethics.

? Rachel Davidson, a 2006 Marion High School graduate, graduated May 16, from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Davidson earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a minor in German. She was inducted into the German Honor Society.
