Centre students rolle up their sleeves for community service

Centre students (from left) Daniel Rudolph (sophomore), Payton Harms (freshman), Aidan Svoboda (seventh grade), Greg Oborny (sophomore) paint the bleachers at the baseball/softball field in Tampa to express their appreciation for the communities that support the school district. According to Superintendent Brian Smith, 129 students in grades five through 12 participated in the district?s first community service day Oct. 8. In addition to the project pictured above, students also repainted stripes on the basketball court in Tampa?s park, cleaned the park in Ramona, helping clean up a yard of an elderly person in Pilsen, worked in the park at Burton and picked up limbs in Lost Springs.
