Centre students compete at K-State contest

Centre FFA members Grace Knepp, Zach Barney and Kayla Gosnell (from left) competed at the K-State Agricultural Education Club Speech Contest in Manhat­tan Feb. 4. Kayla and Grace participated in the sophomore division of Prepared Public Speaking, and Zach competed in the junior division. Contestants picked an agriculture-related topic, researched, wrote and memorized the speech, then presented it to the judges. The sophomore division required a 3-5 minute speech and the junior division required a 4-6 minute speech.
