Centre sends delegates to state

The Centre FFA Chapter traveled to Manhattan, KS for the 91st Kansas FFA Convention. This year, Tyler Nickel participated in the State FFA Band, playing his Tuba. The Band held rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 28 and 29. The concert performances occurred on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31.

Members of the Centre FFA Novice Parliamentary Procedure Team competed at the state level on Wednesday, May 29. Unfortunately not advancing past the first round, members of the team included, Tanner Stuchlik, chair, Emily Casey, Quinten Bina, Kyle Peterson, Alex Remmers and Mikey Silhan. Grace Knepp participated in the Employability Skills Leadership Development Event (LDE), representing the South Central District. Dillon Knepp was recognized for his State Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) Grant. Grace Knepp was recognized for receiving a Midwest Ford Dealers – Built Ford Tough National FFA Scholarship sponsored through Dick Edwards Auto Plaza out of Junction City, KS.

The 2018-2019 Centre FFA Scrapbook was submitted for competition. The Centre FFA Chapter was recognized in the Gold Division of the Growing Leaders National Chapter Award and in the Silver Division for the Building Communities and Strengthening Agriculture areas.

The Chapter was also recognized as a 13 year contributor of the Chapter Seed Fund of the Kansas FFA Foundation. Centre FFA Officers Cailey Barney and Dillon Knepp served as the Delegates for the Centre FFA Chapter.
