Centre FFA competes in Kingman

Centre FFA traveled to Kingman, Ks on Wednesday, October 17 to compete in the South Central District (SCD) Horse Evaluation and Entomology Career Development Events (CDEs).

The participants competing in Horse Judging were required to evaluate and place two halter classes and four performance classes. Greenhand members placed ninth as a team. Members on the team included Quinten Bina, Emily Casey, Tanner Stuchlik, and Kyle Peterson.

Centre FFA members also competed in Entomology CDE. Members had to identify 50 different insects, and take a 40 question test over the general knowledge and science of insects.

Centre’s senior division team placed seventh overall. The Greenhand team placed second overall with three members placing individually in the top 10.

Mikey Silhan placed third, Kyle Peterson placed eighth, and Tanner Stuchlik placed 10th. Senior team members were Alexis Craney, Cailey Barney, Lacey Wingerd, Samantha Engler, Devin August, Haley Meyer, and Makayla Forichette.

The Greenhand team consisted of Mikey Silhan, Kyle Peterson, Tanner Stuchlik, Emily Casey, Quinten Bina and Alex Remmers.
