On Monday, April 15th, the Centre FFA Chapter traveled to Kingman, KS for the South Central District (SCD) Banquet. Delegates from Centre, Tyler Nickel and Cameron Spohn, participated in the selection of the 2019-2020 SCD FFA Officer Team.

Rhett Laubach, former Oklahoma State FFA Officer and professional speaker, addressed the assembly and inspired them to keep growing their relationships and skills within the FFA, for you never know when they will inspire others. Recognition of the Centre FFA Chapter as a National Chapter Award Recipient occurred, and Dillon Knepp was named the SCD Star Greenhand in Placement. Knepp for his Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) works for Jirak Brothers Produce and helps in the operation by planting, picking and maintaining 40 acres of pumpkins, 60 acres of melons, 35 acres of corn and 20 acres of tomatoes and cucumbers.

Dillon has gained more responsibility within the business and even leads crews now. Knepp was also the recipient of the 2019 Diversified Crop Production in Placement Proficiency Award for his same SAE and represented the South Central District at State.
