Canton hosts state’s student rodeo

Canton hosted a Kansas High School Rodeo Asso­ciation and Kansas Junior High State Rodeo Associa­tion event in the fairgrounds Aug. 26-27.

The event had 464 entries each day, according to Trevin Prieb, one of the local hosts from Canton.

Competing in the junior high division was Kacen Smith from Goessel, who was the team roping average champion with teammate Kade Harland.
