Allen appointed enrollment v.p. at Tabor

Rusty Allen has been promoted to vice president of enrollment management at Tabor College, according to President Larry Nikkel.

Allen served as director of admissions from 2003 to 2004, then as dean of enrollment management from 2004 to 2006. He recently resigned as head women?s basketball coach after six seasons.

?In the years that Rusty divided his time between coaching women?s basketball and serving as dean of enrollment management, he demonstrated passion and competence in both fields,? Nikkel said. ?His resignation as women?s basketball coach leaves him free to devote all of his attention to the areas of enrollment management.?

The promotion to the vice president level gives Allen a seat on the Administrative Committee, the highest decision-making body within the organization. He will also chair the Enrollment Management Committee.

?Rusty has grown in his understanding of the various elements of enrollment management and is prepared to lead that team in helping us achieve the goals we have set for Tabor College in the areas of student body growth,? Nikkel said.

?We are blessed to have a person of his character and competence as a part of our leadership team.?
