2 PBHS students make honors band

Taylor Ensminger, a sophomore at Peabody High School and who plays the French horn, was selected to be a member of the Kansas Music Educators Association State Honor Band.

The honor band will present a concert as part of the association?s annual convention in Wichita on Feb. 26, 27 and 28, said Stephen Glover, PBHS music director.

She is the daughter of Kevin Ensminger and Julie Ensminger.

Another student, Chris Loucks, a junior clarinetist, has been selected as second alternate for the state honor band.

?Chris auditioned along with over 120 other clarinetists from across the state to be a member of the Honor Band,? Glover said.

He is the son of Les and Rhonda Loucks.
