How do you know it worked?

I think almost everyone has their own secret remedies to keep from getting sick and also to get better quicker.

The part that always baffles me is how do you know if these remedies really work?

For example, if you take some DayQuil, how do you know that it made you feel better or not? You?d almost have to not take it to see how you?d feel without it before you could tell if you felt better with it. By that time, the illness may have already run its course.

So many questions, too few answers.

I may have mentioned this before but every once in a while I go out and buy a whole wad of new socks and underwear.

It is the fastest way to feel richer than you really are. And I feel like I am about an eighth-inch taller now with the new socks? which actually have thread on the bottom.

My wife has eagle eyes and whatever you call ears that can hear everything.

We had some leftovers from our farmers market meal the other night, so she put it in one of those China Buffet plastic containers from takeout that we must have 1,000 of by now.

Anyway, I was reaching to the back of the fridge one morning to get some raisins for my oatmeal when the container with the leftovers fell out onto the floor with all of its contents finding their way out of the container on to the floor, too.

Well, I just scooped the stuff back up and slammed it back in that little plastic container.

There was one stinking little piece of green bean sticking out from under the lid and she spotted it and asked what happened. Of course, I confessed and also found out that it would be my lunch that day.

How do women even see stuff like that, is what I?d like to know.

And at night she hears everything and I hear nothing.

The patient told the doctor it caused pain when he lifted his arm above his head.

The doctor said, ?Don?t do that.?

?

The guy says to the doctor that everywhere he would touch himself with his finger, the pain was excruciating.

The doc says, ?Your finger is broken.?

Another Arts & Crafts Fair weekend has come and gone just like clockwork.

I wonder how many actual volunteer hours go into it if you add it all up. And I wonder how many people volunteer each year to aid the cause of their church, school or organization.

From what I could tell on the street, the food vendors did well. The weather was just like we ordered it, and the rain came after it was over to wash away what needed to be washed away.

I have lost interest in professional football, so what does that mean?
