This might be one of the craziest things I have thought up yet. Where does a guy go to drive when he has taken himself off of the road because his reactions are too slow and his vision sucks? You guessed it—The Demo Derby!
When I shared this fantastic idea with my wife she ixnayed it right away saying that it was the stupidest thing she had ever heard. I still think the idea has merit, but where would I get a car?

A few Saturdays ago we met our friends, the Giffins at Elderslie in Kechi to see them and to see Rudy who is really looking and acting grown up these days.
There you can see goats, horses and a couple of Alpacas, at least that what I think they were.
We met the owner by the horses and he gave us his card. He is also a horse trainer and gives kids horse riding lessons and more.

I feel bad for all of the people around the county who had all this water a few weeks ago in their homes and businesses that had no place to go.
The reservoir was already full and there was no place that its water could go either. Nothing man-made is any match for Mother Nature.

I was able to see the low vision doctor that my KU Med Center neuro-Ophthalmologist sent me to see recently. His name is Dr. Fletcher and he has offices in California, Kansas, KC and Florida.
We were given the California number by mistake and when Nancy called they suggested that we go to the Wichita office and not San Francisco. Duh!
Dr. Fletcher said they don’t fix anything but that they try to make it easier to live with your problem. He suggested that we make an appointment with his OT and we did.
We went and she showed me lots of ways to overcome my problem, sixth nerve palsy. It may be one of the better appointments I’ve had.

I saw on TV the other day that the U.S. is planning to send a man to Mars. And I also saw that the rocket used to send a man to Mars won’t be one made by the government ie. NASA.
It will be made by a private company SpaceX owned by Elon Musk, the Tesla electric car guy.
From its web site: SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 to revolutionize space technology, with the ultimate goal of enabling people to live on other planets.
My email is at the end of this column. If you wish for me to send you a link to the videos about SpaceX or you can search for it.

This guy goes to a new restaurant on the moon and his friend asked how it was.
He said the food was terrific but there was literally no atmosphere.
