Court decision is religious tyranny

The recent Supreme Court decision means gay rights now trump religious liberty. The Supreme Court?s decision is nothing more than religious tyranny.

We have witnessed the erosion of religious freedom over the last few decades. George Washington in his ?farewell address? warned to remove religious principles would be to lose national morality.

A quote from our second president, John Adams: ?Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion (Christianity) and morality alone, which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.?

Patrick Henry stated: ?The great pillars of all government and social life are virtue, morality and religion (Christianity). This is the armor…..and this alone, that renders us invincible.?

In America, we have been recipients of peace and prosperity, we have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation as ever grown. This is due to the foundation upon which the great country was built.

But, we have forgotten God. We have kicked God out of our government and schools. We have imagined that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own.

Darkness is spreading across our nation because there are those that are hiding the light. Or worse?Jesus is removing the lampstand from this place. If Jesus removes the lampstand from this nation, America will become like many other nations that have been destroyed.

What are we to do? We need to follow the direction given by God in his Word.

?Remember the height from which you have fallen. Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place? (Rev. 2:5).

?If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land? (2 Chron. 7:14).

In the words of Franklin Graham: ?Given the choice of obeying God or government, I believe Christians will obey God?even if there is hell to pay.?
