Run with Relay for Life Aug. 25 in Marion

Cancer touches each of our lives, and until a cure is found, there is a reason for Relay for Life.

The Marion County Relay is fast approaching Aug. 25 at the Marion Sports and Aquatic Center. Plans are for a survivor dinner at 5 p.m. Let the fun begin.

Marion County is in a pilot program this year and with your help we can make it a success. The relay starts at 6 p.m. and ends at midnight.

Look for the Relay Quilt on display as it travels from Hillsboro to Marion now through the 25th. The drawing for the quilt will be during the relay.

Wendy?s is having a fundraiser for the relay from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 25.

Remember loved ones and friends with a luminaire at the relay and join us on Aug. 25 for the fun.

Fireworks celebrate our good fortune

We would like to thank our neighbor, Mike Boese, for the wonderful fireworks show he presented.

It was a great reminder of our good fortune in living in this wonderful country.

We shared food and entertainment and goodwill with friends, family, neighbors?all who gathered to participate in the event together.
