U.S. soldiers deserve respect from Phelps

I say, “No,” to Fred Phelps’ theory that, “the deaths of soldiers is God’s way of punishing the country for homosexuality.”

Why would this be true when the founding fathers of our country’s belief was based upon their trust in God?

And how could this be true? When Jesus states in John 15:13, “Greater love has no man than to lay down one’s life for a friend.”

These soldiers are laying down their lives even for Fred Phelps and his congregation.

These soldiers should be greatly honored at their funerals for so doing.

Karen Nikkel,
