If the quality of health-care is reflected in the investment of money in facilities, there can?t be many better places to live in Kanss than Marion County. Last week, the owners of Hillsboro Community Hospital announced they had finally secured financing to begin construction this spring on a new $10 million facility for the community. This week, in our Marion State of the City section, we feature St. Luke Hospital?s $6.5 million renovation and expansion investment in its facility, also slated to get under way this spring.
Both entities express confidence that the investments will pay off, not only for the institution but for the long-range future of their respective communities. We wish them well. But we can do more: We can give them our patronage and support. ?DR
