There has been a lot of change in Hillsboro over the past year and a half since the last State of the City came out.
In fact, a different editor was in charge of the project the last time the Free Press put it together.
So it was an honor for me to be able to work closely with the city officials and others to put this special section together and learn about all of the exciting things going on in both cities, but especially in the city where I live.
Not only do people go above and beyond in the jobs that they are paid to do, we have a lot of people who volunteer so much time and money for so many things that no one even knows
It truly is humbling as a citizen to see the level of commitment that so many give to making your town the best that it can be.
I am thankful for the hard work and dedication that many put into our little town. I hope they know that they are appreciated by many and that their efforts are noticed.
If you find something in here that you are thankful for, please find a city official or volunteer and thank them for it. I’m sure they would love positive feedback on some of their hard work.
