The value of community foundations was reinforced again Friday when the Hillsboro foundation distributed nearly $16,000 to 13 not-for-profit agencies in support of projects that seek to make a difference in the lives of local families. That most of these grants originate from the HCF ?Impact Fund? speaks to their intent as well as their potential for personal growth and development.
The actual impact of these grants is hard to measure. Who can know how gestures of support can shape a life over time, especially during the school-age years?
