Hillsboro Elementary School principal Evan Yoder accepts the adulation of students and parents during a surprise ?pep rally? for all USD 410 staff members Monday morning. Parents organized the secret event, which attracted some 60 participants, many of whom made signs expressing their appreciation for those who educate local students. The participants waited quietly in the hallway until faculty and staff emerged from an orientation session in the auditorium. Everyone from superintendent to secretaries walked through the reception line. Hillsboro schools begin classes Thursday.
