Spreading the word

MES students recently dropped off books to businesses that students possibly wait in as a thank you for their support. With those books, the school is hoping students read and enjoy the stories at these businesses.

Elementary school principal Justin Wasmuth said, “Sarah Tolessa, third-grade teacher, had a great idea of showing our gratitude to our businesses that have supported use for so long with new books in their waiting areas. With those books being used, our teachers know the importance of reading and the correlation it has on success in school. Having parents or businesses take pictures and place them on social media with the hashtag #growmarion to get the word out, show how important the community has placed on reading!”

If you see someone or your own child reading at these businesses, please post them on social media with the hashtag #growmarion so the children can be spotlighted in and around the community and the businesses! A few have already been spotted around town including these little ladies at Signatures Salon.
