Senior Citizens board seeks to honor longtime quilters

The Senior Citizens of Marion County Board of Directors wants to honor quilters at its annual meeting Oct. 15 at the Marion Senior Center.

The board is seeking nominations from the public of people who have hand-quilted, machine or tied quilts. They need to live in Marion County, be at least 60 years old and be willing to attend the SCMC annual meeting in October.

Nominations forms are available at local senior centers or through the Marion County Department on Aging at 620-382-3580.

Nominations need to be returned to the local senior center or Department on Aging by Aug. 19.
