Project SEARCH graduates four interns

Wenxi Funk, Ella Jost, Zach Nolte and Roy Blosser pose with their certificates from Project SEARCH at their recent graduation.

Project SEARCH recently graduated four interns, and they are moving on to new adventures.

Ella Jost, Hillsboro, has been employed at Wendy’s and Pioneer Catering Services at Tabor College.

Wenxi Funk, Hillsboro, has been employed at Pioneer Catering Services at Tabor College. He will be attending Flint Hills Technical College enrolled in Culinary Arts beginning in August.

Roy Blosser, Tampa, will be volunteering at Tampa Library.

Zach Nolte, Goessel, has been employed at Dale’s Supermarket.

“These graduates made a lasting impression on our Project SEARCH program, as well as on the Tabor College campus throughout their three internships during this past school year. These interns grew in confidence and gained hard skills and soft skills to prepare for competitive employment. These interns also increased their understanding of social acceptable behaviors at work and how to manage emotions within the workplace. We are proud of these interns and the hard work and commitment to learn the skills necessary to acquire and sustain a competitive job,” said Tabor College Project SEARCH Coordinator Robert Haude.

Project SEARCH is a school-to-work transition program hosted by Tabor College. The leadership for this program works out of the Marion County Special Education Cooperative.
