Peabody gets “down” at their Downtown Get Down

Bennet Gfeller gets his groove on with his Dr. Pepper in hand at the Peabody Street dance on Saturday. Many guests and volunteers showed up to make the night a huge success. The event was a group effort with several organizations pitching in to help. People of all ages danced, played games and visited with each other at the Downtown Get Down dance.
Mack Clark and Bob Kyle smoke hogs for the food for the street dance on Saturday in Peabody. They started smoking them early in the day at the Sante Fe Park at the south end of the “Main” street (Walnut). People commented that they could smell the hogs cooking all over town. The men are just two of many volunteers who helped make the Downtown Get Down dance a success.
Emma Partridge and Adi Winter play Jenga. There were about 10 outdoor games set up for guests to play during the street dance in Peabody on Saturday night. They were a huge hit.

There were all kinds of dancing and fun to be had in downtown Peabody and people of all ages seemed to enjoy the evening.
People of all ages enjoyed a line dance at the street dance in Peabody on Saturday night. The Downtown Get Down was put on by multiple organizations and volunteers that guests of all types and ages attended and joined in the fun.
