Marion County democrats met on April 9

Marion County Democrats met on April 9 in the Ann Potter Room in the Peabody Township Library.

County Chair Eileen Sieger conducted the business meeting.

Discussion included the need for precinct people to file at the courthouse by June 1. The applications for the scholarship of $500 is available at Marion County high school counselor offices.

The speaker, via zoom, was Communications Director of the Kansas Democratic Party Emma O’Brien. She spoke on the reflection of Governor Laura Kelly who has a 50 percent public approval rating. She listed ways to help her re-election.

The local group will meet in person on May 14. The location is to be determined and will be announced.
