Man found dead at Lehigh home after altercation in McPherson

Marion County Dispatch received a call of a person not breathing in Lehigh at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 27. According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Marion County EMS was dispatched and attempted life-saving measures, but they were unable to revive the person.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported that the 32-year-old male was a Lehigh resident who was involved in a physical altercation in McPherson County.

According to the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred in McPherson around the 1000 block of 21st Ave. The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office that the male subject had been found deceased.

“This is an ongoing investigation and no other information will be released at this time until the death notification can be made,” said McPherson County Sheriff Jerry P. Montagne in a statement on Monday.

This incident is being investigated by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office and they are asking for anyone with information on the incident to please contact either the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 620-382-2144 or the McPherson County Sheriff’s Office at 620-245-1225.
