Vigil draws attention to local domestic violence

LofferTeresa Loffer, rural advocate for Marion/McPherson counties, led a candlelight vigil Oct. 15 at the Hillsboro Scout House in recognition of October as Domestic Violence Month. The event informed others about help available for survivors still suffering and remembered those who did not survive. Loffer said she has helped provide services for six women in Marion County since being hired. For information about resources, contact Loffer at 620-241-6615.
